Through the philosophical counseling, a wide variety of individual programs can be built according to the customer's needs, which strengthen desired features such as mental control, ability to concentrate or the ability to relax. If desired, EEG measurement can be added to the beginning and end of longer-term programs, in order to find out the objective effect of the implemented change on brain functions. The longer individual coaching program that is constantly available is called Expedition to the innermost reality. Its mini-version containing the EEG-guided mediation can be tailored for those preferring to travel by their own.

Expedition to the innermost reality

EEG-guided wellness program to promote inner development

The KalpaTaru's journey of discovery of inner development pursues out to human's age-old dream of self-discovery and realizing one's own inner purpose. We are advancing on the same path of development, the different stages of which have been traveled by great teachers and philosophers of life in the East and the West.

The KalpaTaru's route is safe even for beginners. Knowledge and wisdom are drawn from many different sources, from past masters to modern research. However, the most important tips for understanding a person's multi-level internal structure and development path come from Patanjali. He summarized the psychological and philosophical essence of yoga in his classic yoga sutras. This profound text has spoken to its readers throughout the ages - not so much as a theoretical learning doctrine, but as a practical manual, which timeless wisdom can be internalized as a personal living reality.

Even today, everyone can find a state of calm and peace behind the storms of their mind. A clear water, where our best human qualities come to the fore, creating confidence in improving both our own lives and the state of the world.

In the process of traveling, you can notice that your inner space is freed up and expanded: the contents of your mind become clearer, when anxiety and worry lose their grip. As discernment increases, it is easier to identify the sources from which real joy and happiness can be drawn into one's life.

Changing the inner experience is naturally the most important goal of the trip, but on the way to KalpaTaru, the results can also be measured objectively. With the state-of-the-art EEG measurements performed by BM-Science, we can see how much the BrainMind Audit and Self-Me-I profiles, that describe the state of brain functions and self-consciousness, change during each training period and balance towards optimal functioning.

We start the journey based on each participant's own needs and goals - and the state of their brain functions. On the basis of an individual in-depth interview and EEG measurement, an individual exercise program is prepared for each person, which always includes the mutually supporting areas presented in the following roadmap. However, the more specific content and weight of the sections vary according to everyone's own needs and goals.

Course roadmap

1) Life situation mapping

At first, we try to find out what situation you are in now and what you are looking for and feel you need from the bottom of your heart. What are your most important values and goals and how do they materialize in your everyday life? The investigation takes place with the help of a questionnaire and an in-depth interview. If necessary, your nutrition and exercise habits are also mapped, on which all development and well-being are built. Through the discussion, we find our own clear goals that are meaningful to commit to.

2) Increasing self-understanding

The purpose of this sub-area is to increase self-knowledge and take good care of oneself. At the same time, customs and habits perceived as unnecessary or harmful begin to dissolve with increasing awareness. One's own characteristics, habits and conditions are monitored, e.g., with the help of personality tests. We also look at where you place yourself on the ethical map described by Patanjali (i.e., how you have internalized the individual yama and communal niyama obligations, and how they come true for you).

3) Learning deep relaxation

With regular deep relaxation, all tensions in the body are gradually released, breathing is freed and the mind calms down. In a state of calm presence, discernment becomes more precise and available energy increases. We can better experience our connection to the basis of our existence.

4) Personalized meditation practice

Each participant receives their own meditation practice, which, when done regularly, effectively optimizes and balances brain activity. The program is based on an EEG measurement made by BM-Science and a BrainMind Audit profile. The profile that maps individual brain activity and mental traits includes 9 key parameters, such as the speed of information processing and memory functions, the brain's overall resources, and stress tolerance and concentration. The measurements have clearly shown that some people benefit more from certain exercises that require concentration, others from, for example, relaxing mindfulness. More on EEG-guided meditation, see here. For peer-reviewed scientific research, see here.

5) Looking for a Wisdom

The knowledge and wisdom developed within different cultures is an invaluable help when trying to better understand the functions of your mind and your spiritual dimensions. Suitable travel literature offers signposts for a more accurate understanding and consideration of suitable routes as well as the questions encountered at different stages of the trip. Even Patanjali emphasized the importance of studying scriptures in increasing personal wisdom and discernment. Tarja Kallio-Tamminen's clear translation makes it easy to delve into Patanjali's classic yoga text as well.
